When Summer was just 13 years old, she suffered a spinal stroke that left her paralysed for four long weeks. Thanks to the incredible generosity of the the local public over the past year, Summer has been able to access vital therapies not available on the NHS.
Summer has now teamed up with brand new Newbury locals The High Horse Pub, plus favourite local musician Sion Whiley, to bring you a night of good vibes, live music and community spirit – all while raising awareness of Childhood Stroke and helping to raise fuds that can support other children and families facing similar challenges. They aim to:
💫 Build a network for children silently affected by stroke
💫 Raise funds for essential therapies and treatments not available through the NHS
💫 Share stories and inspire hope
💫 Connect with like-minded people who want to make a difference
There will be raffle tickets available on the night, with a whole load of prizes generously donated from local businesses in and around Newbury & Thatcham.
