What to expect: In this 2.5 hour class you will make a beautiful two-dimensional sculpture of a swift to hang on the wall. Suitable for beginners and those with some experience, Judith will give you an introduction to willow weaving. You will learn how to create the willow frame along with weaving techniques to bring your swift to life.
What to bring/wear: All materials are included.

About the artist: Judith Needham is a basket maker and willow weaver based in Farnham, Surrey – England’s Craft Town. Judith specialises in woven willow playhouses but I also make baskets and teach basket making and willow sculpture. Judith enjoys passing on her skills through teaching workshops to adults and children at various venues across Surrey and Hampshire.
