Shaw House

Just a short walk from Newbury town centre stands 16th century Shaw House, the former home of acclaimed local clothier, Thomas Dolman.
This imposing Grade I listed building has worn many guises over the years and is now used as a multi-purpose events venue, housing the local Register Office, conferences and exhibitions, and performances both in the house itself and within its beautiful grounds.
Explore the lovingly restored house when it is open to the public during school holidays and at weekends between February and September each year. Check out our Events section to discover the latest events taking place here.
