The festive season is in full swing, but watch out! Mr.Grinch is set to make a mischievous appearance in the heart of Newbury town centre. With Christmas fast approaching so is the inevitable dash for last-minute present shopping, Newbury Business Development District (BID), the organization behind Visit Newbury is excited to announce Last Minute Late Night Shopping With Mr.Grinch, a sensational evening of late-night shopping and festive fun on December 21.
From 4pm until 7pm shoppers can join Newbury’s town centre shops for a thrilling late-night shopping spree and help foil Mr.Grinch’s plans by grabbing those last-minute Christmas gifts from a wide array of shops in Newbury town centre. Mr.Grinch will be popping up throughout the shops from the afternoon into the evening, so make sure you keep your eyes peeled!
Newbury promises an exciting shopping extravaganza, blending beloved high street names with charming local boutiques and independent stores. It’s the perfect opportunity to discover unique presents for your loved ones whilst immersing yourself in the festive cheer of the season.
Shoppers can also expect a touch of snow during the event as Parkway Shopping’s snow machines will be in full flurry as part of its Let It Snow event that is taking place all week – dependent on conditions.
The event organized by Visit Newbury continues to establish Newbury as the go to Christmas destination, following on from the recent success of Newbury’s Christmas Lights Switch On Festival. It invites all residents and visitors to participate in this free and delightful immersive Christmas experience for all ages. Don’t miss the chance to experience the magic of Newbury’s vibrant shopping scene and celebrate this Christmas in style and don’t let Mr. Grinch steal Christmas!
Alison Drummond, Newbury BID Operations Manager, commented: ‘We are so excited to be announcing this event! This event is all part of our Christmas In Newbury series, putting Newbury on the map this Christmas.’
