Newbury Town Council, in collaboration with local partners, is proud to announce a series of events to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day (Victory in Europe Day), marking this pivotal moment in history with a programme of activities that honour those who contributed to the end of the Second World War.
The events, taking place from May 8th to May 10th, will bring the community together to remember, reflect, and celebrate the legacy of those who served.
Saturday May 10th: Community Celebrations
Join for a day of family-friendly fun from 11am to 3pm Victoria Park. The day will include activities from Kennet District Scouts and other local groups and charities, live music, singing groups and entertainment. The park will feature a variety of activities for people of all ages, come and have a go or sit back and enjoy the music.
