Newbury Town Hall is throwing open its doors to the public as part of this year’s Heritage Open Days Festival on Saturday 13 September 2025, 10am to 2pm.

The public are invited to view the Council Chamber, The Civic Staircase, the Council’s maces and other civic regalia. This includes the Town Hall Honours Boards, which list the Mayors of Newbury, going back to 1596 and features many well-known local families.

Although meetings in the Town Hall are open to the public, and there are often coffee mornings and other community events in the Chamber, many local people may not have taken the opportunity to visit the Chamber, so this is a great opportunity to see it in person.

This event is FREE, and all are welcome.
