West Berkshire Museum is hosting this wonderful exhibition celebrating 100 years of Newbury Road Club.
It all started in 1925 when a 17-year-old boy placed a Newbury Weekly News advert suggesting local cyclists get together and form a new club. However, cycle clubs had been flourishing in Newbury for many years before that.
As part of Newbury Road Club’s centenary celebrations, this exhibition charts the history of Newbury cycling from its earliest origins and runs from 9th April – 18th May 2025.
West Berkshire Museum is open from Wednesday to Sunday, 10am – 4pm. Entry is free but donations are most welcomed.
