The Newbury Real Ale Festival has become a staple end of summer event in Newbury, attracting thousands of people from far and wide for a day filled with local and specialist beers and ciders, delicious food, and live music. It takes place annually in Northcroft Park, starting at midday with last orders called after the final music act of the evening leaves the stage.

When the weather is kind, the festival site is awash with revellers sat on bring-your-own picnic blankets and camping chairs, enjoying the sunshine and entertainment. When the weather is not so kind, the main marquee is filled with people dancing the evening away after tasting many of the delicious ales and ciders on offer.
