Surround yourself with nature and wildlife less than three miles from Newbury town centre at The Nature Discovery Centre. Sat beside Thatcham Lakes, home to a huge variety of aquatic birds and wildfowl, the centre is full of interactive and informative wildlife and natural history displays.

Enjoy a cup of tea and a bite to eat at the on-site cafe (we recommend their chocolate brownies!), explore the network of lakeside and woodland footpaths packed with wonderful wildlife, and visit the nearby Thatcham Reedbeds, one of the largest areas of inland reedbed in Southern England.

The centre also has an adventure playground, a gift shop selling wildlife-themed gifts, toys and books, and picnic facilities.
