Our Christmas tale begins in November, with three magical days of free entertainment lined up that the whole family can enjoy.
You won’t want to miss one of the highlight’s of Newbury’s festive season, the Christmas Lights Switch On, taking place Saturday 15th November, with a packed day of activities before the town bursts into light in the evening.
On Friday 14th, the night before the big day, live bands get the party started on the big stage in Market Place, and on Sunday 16th, two festive markets offer even more opportunities to get out in the town and hunt out those perfect gifts nice and early!
Switching on the lights is just the first chapter in our story, as Christmas in Newbury unfolds with plenty more free events, entertainment, and seasonal activities around the town. Join us in Newbury Market Place from 5pm on Friday 14th November, as we get into the festive spirit ahead of the big Christmas Lights Switch On on Saturday.
Expect a full day of live music, entertainment for all the family, market stalls and much more – all leading up to the spectatular light switch on in the evening.
Closing up the Christmas Light Switch on weekend festivites, continue your shopping at the festive Antique & Vintage and Vegan markets on Sunday.
