Visit the idyllic market town of Newbury this summer. Steeped in history and surrounded by some of the UK’s most outstandingly beautiful countryside, it’s no surprise that Newbury stars on the small (and big) screen in ITV’s smash hit, Downton Abbey, and is home to the Queen’s favourite racecourse. And yet, outside of the countryside splendour and tranquil canal walks, Newbury has a cool cultural scene and large indie following that won’t disappoint. Newbury has enjoyed somewhat of a renaissance of late, and we wholeheartedly recommend becoming reacquainted with the town to see for yourself.
