Laurie-Jane Cann - CEO

Claire Siddle - Business Support Manager

Hannah Spiers - Event Manager

Jayne Hammond - Street Ranger

Jayne joined the BID in November 2015 as the second (part-time) Street Ranger. Jayne worked in retail whilst raising four children. More recently, one of her daughters was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, requiring much time and attention from Jayne, who then threw herself into charity work and fund-raising. Jayne then enjoyed working outdoors for ISS at Henwick Playing Fields, and furthering her skills. She returned to retail in 2015 working at Wickes, where she helped to open the new store, and enjoyed meeting and greeting new customers. Whilst in this role she took the opportunity to get involved with local trade and charities, which fuelled her desire to be more involved with the town.

On discovering the Street Ranger role, and wanting to work outdoors again, she was very excited to join the BID, meeting new people and using the combined skills she has acquired to date. She is interested in the future of Newbury and passionate about directly helping to continue to make it a clean, attractive town, with as little anti-social behavior as possible.

The Street Rangers key objectives are:

  • - To ensure that visitors to Newbury Town Centre receive quick and efficient advice and service.
