Food and Drink Festival confirmed for Newbury

We’re delighted to announce that it has secured a date for a Newbury Food and Drink Festival.

Taking place as a 1-day special for 2021, the festival is an exciting prospect for the town after a year of reduced activity and limitations, and we expect visitors to travel to Newbury from near and far for the event.

The festival, set to expand across several days in the future should this year’s pilot go well, arrives on Saturday 4th September between 10am – 8pm and is due to attract a wide variety of exciting and vibrant traders to the market town. Artisan food producers including a gourmet donut company, prosecco tuk tuks and international street food pop-ups are all due to attend alongside a welcomed selection of less familiar delicacies to quickly become acquainted with from global cuisines, such as South African cured meats and Mediterranean deli produce. In addition, there will be music from a DJ and compere alongside other local talent to keep visitors entertained throughout the day.

The festival will be located along the main high street in Northbrook Street and will continue along Bartholomew Street – Newbury’s quirkier quarter lined with independent businesses on either side. Visitors are encouraged to take advantage of both independent and national brands already at home in historic Newbury, who will be open for business and ready to welcome festival go-ers on the day of the event and beyond.

We’re busy working with the current market operators for the Newbury Artisan Market, LSD Promotions, to deliver the festival.

Alison Drummond, our Operations Manager, states:

We have already delivered some amazing events for Newbury in partnership with LSD Promotions, and we are delighted to be working with them again after the successful relaunch of the monthly Artisan Market, which achieved record breaking footfall figures since Sunday 8th March 2020, before the pandemic started.

Dermot McGillicuddy, Director of LSD Promotions, says:

With over 30 years of experience in the market operating space, we’re committed to delivering the highest standard of festivals, markets, and events across the board at LSD, and Newbury is no exception.

We’ve already received interest from top quality traders offering unique and more traditional food and drink products, but if you’re a F&B trader who brings something different to the table, why not consider getting in touch with us for Newbury Food and Drink Festival? We’re looking to share only the very best with Newbury this autumn.
