DESCRIPTION:Beyond the Barricade\, the UK’s longest running Musical Theatre Concert Tour\, is back for 2026. \nJoin the cast for two hours of the best of Broadway and the West End\, featuring the songs that have made audiences return over and over again for more than 25 years. Enjoy numbers from The Phantom of the Opera\, Jesus Christ Superstar\, West Side Story\, The Lion King\, Blood Brothers\, Miss Saigon\, Hamilton and many others\, climaxing with a spectacular finale from\, of course\, Les Misérables! \nThe concert tour will feature Andy Reiss\, David Fawcett\, Katie Leeming and Sarah Ryan who have all played principal roles in both the West End and UK Tours of Les Misérables\, together with a live band who capture the feel of the original orchestrations of the chosen musicals. \nTo this day every musical note is still played and sung live – very rare indeed. Beyond the Barricade gives musical theatre songs a bold concert format treatment – but with the conviction and intention to deliver the material as if the audience are watching the original performance.

DESCRIPTION:We can’t wait for the return of Newbury Rugby Club’s much-loved Annual Pink Day! 💗 \nTaking place on Saturday 28th February\, this fantastic community fundraising event sees Newbury Blues take on Keynsham RFC\, where the Blues will swap their usual home kit for a vibrant pink – and you’re invited to join in by wearing the pinkest outfit you can find in your wardrobe! \nThe annual event raises a significant amount of money that supports the club and two essential local charities: Newbury Cancer Care and Newbury Soup Kitchen. \nIn addition to the rugby\, there will be a pitch-side BBQ and beer tent\, raffles\, auctions (both in person and online – find the online auction here)\, fundraising games\, live music and Watership Brass Band\, and plenty more throughout the day – all helping to raise a significant amount of money supports the club and two essential local charities: Newbury Cancer Care and Newbury Soup Kitchen. \nThe club is open from 12pm and kick-off at 3pm.
