It’s one of the area’s best days out\, with music\, food and drink that the whole family can enjoy\, and a community event that also raises money for local charities – how can you beat that? Head along to celebrate the end of summer with family and friends\, right here in Newbury. \nTaking place at Northcroft Park on Saturday 12th September\, the popular community festival brings together live music\, great food and drink\, and a fantastic atmosphere for a brilliant day out. This year’s line-up includes some brilliant tribute acts and cover bands\, including Bon Giovi\, Maximum Robbie\, 21st Century ABBA\, The Skangsters and Revenant\, with live music running throughout the day. \nThere’s also plenty to enjoy at the bar\, with more than 100 ales and ciders to try\, including beers from independent breweries across the local area. You’ll also find gin\, prosecco\, rum and plenty of non-alcoholic options. \nBest of all\, N-FEST is a not-for-profit community event run by volunteers from Newbury & Thatcham Hockey Club\, raising money for local charities. Alongside a performance from Garry Pease\, the UK’s premier Rod Stewart tribute act\, there will also be a raffle and bar. \nAll funds raised will be spent directly on providing exercise therapies and social opportunities for local people living with Parkinson’s. \nParkinson’s is the fastest-growing neurological condition in the UK\, and unfortunately there is currently no cure.
