SUMMARY:Take Flight
DESCRIPTION:Take Flight is a stunning aerial theatre show for children up to 2 year old and their grown ups. \nThe story follows a musical mother bird as their baby hatches\, grows and explores\, navigating the challenges of hunger\, sleep and play. Culminating in a beautiful aerial moment\, the mother bird supports her baby to leave the nest and take flight. \nThis multi-sensory\, interactive show ignites the imagination and curiosity of babies who are then invited into the space with the performers to explore the baby safe set and props\, including having a swing in the silks. \nThey worked with development psychologist Dr Valentina Sclafani from Lincoln University to ensure the content is positive for babies in terms of neurological & motor skills development and encourages a strong bond between babies and their grown ups. \nPerformances take place at 11am\, 1pm and 3pm and last around 30 minutes (no interval)\, followed by a 15 minute play session. \nLearn more or book your tickets via the link below.

SUMMARY:Open Studios: Artists at Shaw House

Inspired by the flora and foliage around her\, Tee’s biophilic designs are created for homeware\, accessories\, and gifts.\nSandra McArdle\, a silversmith and jeweller who works in silver and gold to create an object of beauty and is constantly amazed at the way in which the metals respond as they are heated and worked\, to create that final piece.\nSusie\, Pots of Hope\, a ceramicist whose flow-state work is imbibed with the mantra of hope. Mind\, body\, spirit and soul bring the unequivocally beautiful and beautifully useful nature of ceramics into being.\nTessa Kirby\, whose art is informed by nature in all its forms\, the way light falls on objects\, trees\, flowers the whole landscape; capturing the many moods in nature.\n\nLearn more via the link below.
