DESCRIPTION:Gentle\, Angry Women is a coming-of-age documentary following the story of three young activists as they retrace the footsteps of the Greenham Common march to the original site of the 1980s Women’s Peace Camp. \nThree young women – Poppy\, Xanthe\, and Evie – embark on a journey of discovery\, following in the footsteps of over 30\,000 women who forty years earlier united in peaceful\, liberating protest\, the remarkable Greenham Common Women’s Peace Movement. \nFollowing the film’s sold-out launch in Cornwall on International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons\, Gentle\, Angry Women comes to Newbury – where the story began – with a series of screenings at Newbury Corn Exchange. \nTickets are available through the Newbury Corn Exchange website\, you can find a direct link below. \nThe final screening on Sunday 26th October takes place during Disarmament Week\, and the film director Barbara Santi will be attending the screening to host a Q&A in the Balcony Bar after the film.
