SUMMARY:Small Wonders: Reimagining British Art
DESCRIPTION:50 artists. 50 new works. Five decades of British art. \nWhat happens when 50 leading British artists are invited to look back at their own place in British art – and create something new? \nDiscover Small Wonders: Reimagining British Art\, a vibrant and eclectic exhibition bringing together 50 artists who have participated in the British Art Show since it began in 1979. \nInspired by Marcel Duchamp’s idea of a “portable museum”\, each artist has created a new small-scale work responding to their earlier British Art Show presentation. Together\, these intimate works create an extraordinary journey through five decades of British art. \nYou don’t need to be an art expert to enjoy Small Wonders. Head along to discover artists you know\, encounter artists you’ve never seen before\, and make your own connections between the works. \nExhibition opening times: 10am – 5pm (closed Mondays) \nOn Wednesday 30th September and Wednesday 14th October the exhibition will stay open later until 8pm \n\nRelaxed Days: Thursday 17th September and Thursday 22nd October\nFamily Day: Saturday 10th October\n\nLearn more and book your tickets via the link below.
