DESCRIPTION:Newbury Town Council\, in collaboration with local partners\, is proud to announce a series of events to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day (Victory in Europe Day)\, marking this pivotal moment in history with a programme of activities that honour those who contributed to the end of the Second World War. \nThe events\, taking place from May 8th to May 10th\, will bring the community together to remember\, reflect\, and celebrate the legacy of those who served. \nSaturday May 10th: Community Celebrations \nThe Royal British Legion will host events from 12pm throughout the afternoon and evening at their Pelican Lane venue\, with historical displays\, military vehicles\, performances\, and a special commemoration tribute band that will transport us back to 1945. \nLearn more via the link below.
