This June, Corn Exchange Newbury and The Base, Greenham are jointly presenting their annual Sustainability Fair and their first houseplant swap at the Corn Exchange Newbury for the start of the Great Big Green Week on Saturday 7 June. This free event will take place in the Corn Exchange Balcony and Café Bar and will be open from 10am to 4pm.

The Corn Exchange Newbury and The Base, Greenham are continually seeking more sustainable ways in which to do things. The aim of the fair is to bring together a whole host of individuals and organisations, all with the common goal of finding a more sustainable way of living. Visitors will be able to share ideas about sustainability, connect with businesses and organisations at the forefront of greener living and browse stalls selling environmentally friendly products and crafts, with the option to enjoy freshly prepared and delicious food/snacks from the Corn Exchange Café Bar.

Come along to connect with others, share ideas and bring some greenery to join in on their first ever house plant swap!

How the house plant swap works…

  • Bring small house plants or cuttings (as many as you’d like to swap)
  • Label each plant or cutting with the name and care instructions (if known)
  • Ensure your plants are healthy and free of pests and disease
  • Chat to other swappers and offer a swap
  • Then you either swap or not
  • Repeat the process
  • Go home with new plants!

This event is free to attend, no booking required. Learn more at the link below.
