Eggs-cellent entertainment announced for Newbury EasterFest

We’re delighted to share an eggs-cellent Entertainment Programme for our upcoming three-day EasterFest, coming to Newbury on Friday 15th April.

The Wonderland-themed event is set to attract visitors from across the region, as classic children’s characters join an abundance of entertainment such as live musical performances and Easter craft activities, alongside street food and market stalls. The Entertainment Programme includes a variety of live music acts, such as popular local duo, Colorado River, pop soloists, acoustic bands, and children’s choir, VOX, as well as walkabout characters such as the Cheshire Cat and Easter Bunny, enriching the Newbury Easter experience further.

The entertainment will take place for the full duration of the event between 10am and 8pm on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th April, with an earlier finish time of 5pm on the final day of the event, Sunday 17th April. Please visit the event page on our website to view the full Entertainment Programme.

The EasterFest event will be located along the main high street in Northbrook Street and will continue along Bartholomew Street – Newbury’s quirkier quarter lined with independent businesses on either side. Visitors are encouraged to take advantage of both independent and national brands already at home in historic Newbury, who will be open for business and ready to welcome visitors on event days and beyond.

In addition to this Mad Hatter-inspired event, our Easter Egg Hunt in partnership with local charity, Swings and Smiles, started on Saturday 9th April, and will continue for two weeks until Sunday
24th April. All proceeds from the hunt go to the charity and details of the prizes up for grabs, ranging from £50 vouchers to a family meal for four, can be found by clicking here.

Alison Drummond, our Operations Manager, states:

We’ve already received great feedback from some of the local businesses participating in our Easter Egg Hunt, who are experiencing increased custom at their venues and recognition from new audiences. By delivering Newbury’s first-ever EasterFest across Northbrook and Bartholomew Street, we hope that this is just the start of some of the positivity we receive from town centre businesses, highlighting the importance of delivering such events to help improve the local trading environment and make Newbury flourish.
