Bunting brightens Newbury to mark the upcoming Jubilee

Jubilee bunting

Bunting has recently been installed across Newbury town centre to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

We organised the colourful bunting to honour Her Majesty The Queen becoming the first British Monarch to complete 70 years of service. The installation was completed on Sunday 3rd April 2022, and the bunting will remain in-situ throughout the spring and summer.

The bunting was arranged to be erected along Northbrook Street, Bartholomew Street, Market Place and part of Cheap Street, with the intention of also brightening up the town and encouraging visitors in, particularly in time for the upcoming Easter holidays and corresponding EasterFest, Easter Egg Hunt, and Easter Craft events.

Kirsty Lemberger, our Marketing Manager, said:

As a quintessentially British market town, we felt that it was extremely important to commemorate our heritage and celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with colourful bunting that will add vibrance to our town centre.

We hope that visitors and local residents visit the town centre to take a look at the bunting while taking advantage of the fabulous independent businesses, both hospitality and retail, we have on offer!

Additionally, we carefully selected the bunting in a fabric material to avoid any excessive noise disturbance for local residents and businesses should heavy winds occur.
